Selection of Materials and Finishes

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Finalising Your Material Selections

The plans have now been submitted to Council and while the approval process moves along we take the opportunity to further fine-tune your selections. We will ask you to complete a Selections Worksheet which will confirm all specific fittings, fixtures, finishes and colours for your project. We can provide recommendations to suit the architecture and style of your home, however, you are free to choose fixtures and finishes from any suppliers

What If I Change My Selections?

If it turns out that the selections you have made are different to what appears in the tender, for example, the tender states you have a timber floor throughout the home but you have now decided to carpet the bedrooms; that’s okay. This is a normal occurrence in the process and we will provide you with fixed variation costs and credits based on your selections if they differ from the tender.

How Long Do I Have To Make My Selections?

Council approvals usually take about 6 – 11 weeks. The selection process usually

takes about the same time depending on how long it takes to make decisions. However, we do prefer Clients to have made their selections within a month to minimise delays with material deliveries and construction.
